Contact lenses review for my Secret Cosplay!

Hey Guys!
I thought it was time for another blog, since I have received my beautiful contacts for my Secret Cosplay.
So first of all, this 'Secret Cosplay' that I have mentioned will remain a "Secret" until Eirtakon in Dublin on the  November 22nd-24th 2013!

I'm very excited about this project and it's not just myself behind it, so a lot of enthusiasm is going into it.

The contacts I purchased were the '
GEO COLOR 9 AQUA BLUE AN-A49' from GeoColouredLenses.com

(I'll post the link so it's easier for you.)http://www.geocolouredlenses.com/geo-color-9-aqua-blue-an-a49/

I waited about 2 weeks for the contacts to arrived and I was very excited to see how bright the colour actually was.
I had seen a lot of pictures of other girls wearing them and instantly fell in love with their brightness and had to make them mine!

It was my first time ever wearing Geo circle lenses and I was very anxious to see what they'd be like to wear as comfort is one of the main things I seek in a contact lens.

(This is what the contact lense was like on. Left eyes is my own eye colour and right is the contact lenses.)
I was surprised at the vibrancy of the contact lenses, because my eyes are so light, but the contact lenses proved to be just as bright. I loved the black right on the outer edge. It really gives a dolly eye affect.
This picture was taken in natural light with no edited effect.

I'm very excited to see this cosplay all together.. But for now you'll have to deal with just the sneakest of peaks. I'll post a picture of my make up with a make shift wig. (:

I would definitely recommend Geo Contact lenses to any cosplayers or even just for day wear! They are beautiful and bright, but in a subtle way. They are definitely one of the more comfier lenses I've worn too, and surprisingly at times I could barely feel them in.
I would definitely buy from them again!! (:

Female Joker cosplay continued.

Just updating again on my Joker cosplay progress as I didn't think I posted all I wanted to about my cosplay. I forgot to post the wig I bought and recieved from Ebay. I can post the link to the seller for you guys if you like the look of it. (:

As you can see it's absolutely beaaaaautiful in the picture (and even more beautiful in person.)
I was concerned about the colour if I'm to be honest because it looked a tiny bit darker than I wanted it to be but I just loved the style of it and the wig itself looked as if it had a multi-tone in it, so I went ahead and bought it!
I waited about 2 weeks for it to arrive and I was pleasantly surprised when I ripped through the packet so I could see it's beautiful sleaky, green self!

This is what the wig looked like on and as you can see, the subtle curl is beautiful and natural looking (as a green wig can look..)
Also, from the picture you will notice I gave myself a little Mrs. Joker make over.
It was a quick, thrown together look because I was anxious to see how it would all look together.
I doubt this will actually be the make up I will use on the actual day I go to the con, but I'm sure I will add to it and definitely use it as a template. (:

Here is another close up of my make up that I did.

I'm hoping to get the Bobbi Brown white foundation because I heard it has flawless coverage and will give it a less 'caked on' look.
I also want to invest in some contact lenses too. I found one particular pair that made me smile.

This is the contact lenses I was thinking of from BrightEyes.com: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v3eQkeYzh0w

(Here's the link to the actual contact lenses.)

It would be great to get some feedback!
Let me know what you guys think! Thank you.

Mistress Joker cosplay ideas.

Hey Guys. (:

I'm writing again today because I was just running through 2 cosplay ideas for Eirtakon 2013 in Dublin

I've always been a huge 'Batman' fan and have a complete adoration/obsession about The Joker and Harley Quinn
I have already cosplayed Harley, because I absolutely love her character, she is just so fun and bubbly and she always manages to make everyone smile.. Apart from the Joker himself which is hilariously ironic.

(Myself and my best friend as Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy at Eirtakon 2012)

I'm in dire need of a mallet prop, but I just haven't had time to make the mallet as of yet. I'm absolutely in love with some of the mallet's I have seen made entirely by the cosplayers themselves and I would love to someday be able to start making props too. I just need the time and money and as of late it's been difficult to make time for anything.. -_-
 But someday!

(Myself and a friend that I met at Qcon 2013 cosplaying the Joker  this summer in Belfast.)

SO!

Because I love the two crazy lovebirds (mostly on Harley's part) so much, I thought "Heck! Why not cosplay as the Joker too.
Now my favourite version of the Joker is probably Ledger's adaptation mainly because I loved how corrupt and sadistic the Joker really was. I do love my quirky, silly Joker but something about Ledger's performance hit me right in the feels. He was dark and so realistic that it actually made me feel scared.
I remember hearing his laugh for the first time and actually getting goosebumps.
and also Heath Ledger, as an actor means a lot to me, he always did.

I was trying to think of how I would adapt this character into a female version because I knew I wouldn't do the male version any justice and I checked online from deviantart to Cosplay.com and saw a few amazing female adaptations, but I felt that I wouldn't be able to make the costume my own without somehow copying some of the other girl's versions, and I felt that would be unfair and cheating almost.
So I eventually chose to do the original version from the Animated TV series of 1992 with a little bit of Jack Nicholson's version. I loved the look of the Joker in both the animated series and in Tim Burton's movie and felt I could accomplish something and make the character my own, and I think that's important as a cosplayer, to be able to make something your own and place your own unique stamp on it is worth the blood, sweat and tears of putting it all together.

I'm really excited about this cosplay, because the Joker means so much to me.
I'm really hoping I can do it justice.
I have 3 months to do my best and decide exactly where I want to go with my ideas but until then I shall toy around and see how it all goes.

I have bought the jacket and the corset, however and both are beautiful. I couldn't be more happy with them. I have some pictures to show you:

My Joker Blazer.                                                                                                                                                 My Joker Corset.

I'm still deciding if I want to go with a skirt or shorts for the costume.. But I'm still unsure. But I think I'm going to draw my ideas out and see what works best for my ideas.I'll update my progress on this one. (:
I hope you like it!

Introductions.

HELLO BLOGSPOT!

I'm only new to blogging so I apologise if I waffle on about something that isn't appealing to you as it is to me.

If I am posting about anything it's probably going to be about my fangirling problems *ahem*, cosplay, make up or tv shows that I watch, for now..

First of all let me explain why I have started to blog.
I have always had an interest in blogging and reading blogs. I follow several bloggers myself on Blogspot but I've never actually had time to sit down and indulge in a blog-fest myself. So here I am trying to organise my cosplay ideas and several other things that float in and out of my mind on a daily basis.. (perhaps you can help me to make sense of some of the gobbledy-gook) Eek!

I've always been interested in tumblr but never really got the hang of it.. Maybe I'm not cool enough for it.. I was never any good with myspace either.. It just wasn't the place for me. I've always found trying to decorate pages and customising my pages the hardest thing in existence.. Perhaps my brain just can't quite grasp it.. I dunno..

BUT! This looks like a pretty good place to start. (:

So hello! I'm Jordan.. I'm 21 years old and I have many passions/addiction
s. I'm from Ireland and I go to college. I'm currently studying acting on a 2 year course and am really enjoying it.
Acting is one of my greater passions, and I've been lucky enough to be able to express it with some of the great people in my college. I've already done 1 year and will be starting my 2nd year in September.
My life also centres around 'The Vampire Diaries', 'True Blood', cosplaying, conventions, make up, hair, listening to music, reading, eating, breathing, sleeping, vampires and anything to do with romance. :P

I hope to post numerous more posts exploring my thoughts on each of those individually and showing you all my plans on certain cosplays to bring them to life in my own way.

Anyway.. Enough of my introduction.. It's a pleasure to meet you and I hope you'll enjoy some of my more interesting posts on other stuff. haha.
Thank youuuuuu!

Jordee~
